Just read up on the transfer rule in the hand book and it looks like he will have to be with one of his parents liveing in the school district and just a Guardien will not cut it
VHSL Handbook 28-6-3 paragraph 5 says

which he/she transfers, unless the family with whom he/she lives has been given custody
ordered by a court of competent jurisdiction in which case he/she becomes eligible immediately. </div></div>
you are correct but Malcom is now living in Norton which makes him eligible to play for JIB.

If his real mother isnt his legal guardian, then it'd be the same as living with a stranger to the VHSL.

I have no clue where he will be staying I had HEARD guardian which is why I posted part of the VHSL handbook
